WELCOME
First off we want to welcome you all to This Town's Alright. while you are here there are rules you must follow and if for some reason you decide not to, you will be punished. The first time you break a rule you will receive a warning the second time your warning level will go up by fifty percent the third time you will be banned. To find the secret word you will need to read all of the rules and not just skim them either. these rules are subject to change and if they are all members will be notified by private message.
ACTIVITY/INACTIVITY
- This site will hold monthly activity checks which you will have one week to reply to.
- When you first sign up you have one week to post your application before you account is removed from this site. after being accepted please fill out the required extras when you next log on.
- Most likely i will post the activity check on the first sunday of every month, since that is basically the day i choose for anything monthly. all you have to do is post with all of your character names and you are safe.
OUT OF CHARACTER
- No racism you will receive an automatic ban.
- Don't argue with staff their decision is final.
- Don't advertise anywhere outside the advertising board. this includes via private messages and the chat box.
- Please don't post in the in character boards until you have been accepted.
- During role play threads keep ooc chat to a minimum.
- If you are going to be away for more than three days or plan to leave us post in the absences board.
- You may have as many characters as you want, and there are no gender limits on anything, since I personally understand the problem with some people are not good at playing certain genders. Please keep them all active.
- When you sign up you may have whatever name you like. but once you post your application please change your display name to your characters name. all caps. i.e.: ARIANA JACQUELINE PIERCE
- Do not copy the style of someone else's application without asking.
- You have one week to finish your application or alert an admin that it will take more time.
- There is no need for a role-play sample unless you want to provide one.
IN CHARACTER
- No one liners please. its annoying if you spend ages on your post only to get one line back. There is a minimum, 2 decent paragraphs, 300 words.
- Due to TOS rules concerning forum content, sex cannot actually be written out on the board, so in order to comply with the rules if anything goes past just kissing things have to fade to black as it was put on the support board. Everything must remain PG-13.
- Swearing is allowed on here but don't over use it there are some people who don't like it. do not direct swearing at another member.
- No god modding or power playing. which means do not control someone else's character.
- If you wish to; seriously injure, kill or make a character pregnant you must okay it with the admin and all members involved.
- Post in third person please. of course if your character is talking it will be in first person.
- Please make your speech stand out whether its in color or bold we don't mind.
- Please spell check! it can sometimes be really hard to read misspelled words.
- Templates aren't required, they look nice, but you do not have to use one.
OTHER
- The avatar you upload/link needs to be a 150x150 image. it shows up on the board list as well as in the info center.
- Signatures may not stretch the page, if it is I will PM you and request that you change your signature to fit the page.
- No spamming, advertising, or arguing in the CBox.
- You must use a celebrity or model as your face claim. Please respect people who have asked that their faces not be used.
